Cardiolipin Grip (G-CL01) is a recombinant N-terminal GST-tagged cardiolipin binding protein expressed in E. coli. Cardiolipin Grip recognizes multiple species of cardiolipin in a competitive ELISA format on cardiolipin coated plates.
Cardiolipin is an important component in prokaryotic and in eukaryotic inner mitochondrial membrane1. Autoantibodies to CL have been found in patients with anti-phospholipid syndrome and lupus2 and disruptions is CL remodeling have been associated with other diseases such as Barth’s syndrome.
Storage: -20 °C. Aliquot and freeze if intended for multiple uses. Protein will be stable for at least 6 months from date of shipment.
